Jersey Shore’s Vinny Gets His Own MTV Show: Watch The Trailer – Cinema Blend

Not to be left out of the spin-off game, Jersey Shore‘s Vinny Guadagnino has his own series in the works. MTV released a trailer to give us a look at what Vinny has going on for the simply-titled The Show With Vinny, which seems to be more of a reality/talk show, and will feature celebrity guests.

Vinny’s arguably the most likable of the Jersey Shore guys, and known for his very welcoming (and food-loving) Italian-American family, which appears to tie into the new series he’s doing at MTV. Rather than assuming viewers will be content to follow Vinny around to watch his day-to-day antics (though I’m sure many would), as we’ve seen with the other Jersey Shore spinoffs, The Show With Vinny will have the star inviting musicians, TV stars and public figures into his home to meet his family, enjoy some of Mom’s cooking and whatever else he has planned for them.

The trailer below shows us a bit from Lil Wayne’s visit to the Guadagnino house.

As much as I want to roll my eyes at another Jersey Shore spinoff, I actually think Vinny’s a pretty charming guy and his mother seems adorable. The fact that the series is more of a talk show or a celebrity interview show than it is a series focused entirely on ‘the life of Vinny’ just adds to the appeal. If I have the trailer right, the series will put Vinny and his family’s charm to work with various celebrities for some amusing encounters and whatever else might happen when the two elements collide. It could work.

Yeah buddy.

No premiere date mentioned, but the trailer says we should expect it this year.

‘Jersey Shore’ Star Snooki Has Been Celebrating Christmas ‘For Two Months’ – MTV.com

The party might be over for the housemates of the “Jersey Shore,” since the emotional final episode aired Thursday, but that hasn’t dampened their holiday spirits.

MTV News recently caught up with some of the housemates, who shared how they will be spending the remainder of this holiday season.

“I love the holidays. It’s a big thing,” Sammi told MTV News. “So, we’ll spend it with our families and friends.”

Snooki and her fiancé, Jionni LaValle, will be celebrating this Christmas as first-time parents to son Lorenzo, who was born in August. Yet, Snooki isn’t stressing about any last-minute shopping gifts for her new addition: She has been waiting and prepared for Christmas for a while already.

“I did all my shopping in November, because I was so excited,” Snooki revealed. “Decorations have been up since November, so even before Thanksgiving, so I’ve been having Christmas for two months now.”

Snooki won’t have too much time to rest after the Christmas holiday since she and best friend JWoww will be hosting “MTV’s Club NYE 2013,” which will air from Times Square in New York on Monday, December 31, at 11 p.m. ET.

As for Snooki’s partner-in-crime, Deena, she is planning on spending the holiday with her long-time boyfriend, Chris.

“Chris actually spent Thanksgiving with me, so this Christmas Eve, I’m kinda making a switch and gonna go with his family,” Deena said. “So, I’m excited about that, and then Christmas Day, I’m just going to be with my family, exchanging gifts.”

Vinny added, “You will never catch me at my girl’s Christmas party. I’m not giving up that meal; it only happens once a year.”

(Oct. 24, 2012)

Some day, we’ll ask ourselves, “What were we thinking — or were we thinking?” But today’s not that day, because even dumb shows deserve a send-off, and one of the dumbest in TV history gets one right here, right now.

Ending six often squalid but rarely dull seasons Thursday (at 10 on MTV), “Jersey Shore” never pretended to be smart, clever, uplifting, wise or in any way, shape or form socially responsible — and succeeded beyond MTV‘s craziest dreams. (Nine million of us “Shore-rats” tuned in back in the day). What it had in abundance, however, was “stickiness”: That ability to create visuals and scenes so stultifying in their abject vapidity — or, yes, also so amusing — that we could never forget them.

Thanks, guys. I think.

So here, in tribute, are the 10 most memorably dumb moments on “Jersey Shore,” in order of dumbness …

10. Not a happy couple. Ronnie removes every piece of furniture — bed included — from girlfriend Sammi’s room after their umpteenth-hundredth fight and dumps everything on the street.

9. Ronnie the brawler. Ronnie is arrested toward the end of the first season, after one of those brawls that we’ve tried to expunge from our memory banks but can’t, after he decked some schlub who was hassling him.

8. Snooki vs. herself. Snooki crashes into a squad car belonging to the Polizia Italiana; she was sober at the time, we think. Snooks, of course, will forever be the most memorable cast member — deplorable at times, lovable at others. Remember that time she tried to “save” a lobster by immersing it in tap water?

7. Sammi leaves/Angelina leaves/Vinny leaves. I’ve never seen a show where so many cast members leave (who can blame them, when you stop to think about it — which we promised not to do), then return upon reading the fine print in their contracts (“no work, no pay”). Angelina was ultimately gone for good.

6. “The cab is heyaaa …” Pauly D. was so eager to have Angelina out of the house once and for all that he repeatedly yelled this phrase; a ringtone was even born.

5. “Where’s the beach?” Snooki, deep into her cups, wanders out onto the hot sand and wonders where the beach is. She is arrested shortly thereafter (for public intoxication).

4. “The Letter.” How can we ever forget that blasted letter, try as we might, because this missive from JWoww to Sammi, detailing Ron’s infidelities, led to one of many breakups, consumed a whole season and inspired Dumb Moment No. 3.

3. Sammi vs. JWoww. It’s war! Notice how many of these “sticky” moments involve violence? But this one seemed to ascend to a whole new level of dumb mayhem, as the screen filled with big hair flying and big bleeps flying, too.

2. Punching out Snooki. She gets clobbered by a drunken barfly, who turns out to be a New York City gym teacher. The dumbness of this scene — also tinged with horror — so perfectly encapsulates the quintessential dumbness of “Shore,” in that booze was so often involved in the dumbest scenes.

1. Ronnie vs. Mike. They get in a full-bore brawl, with chairs thrown, tables upturned, lightstands wasted — all this accompanied to the endless caterwauling of Deena: “Stooooppppp iiittttt!!” Sigh. The show’s crew members are forced to break it up.

Snooki Plans To Return To Jersey Shore ‘Every Single Summer’ – MTV.com

After six epic seasons, it’s hard to imagine that next summer we won’t see the eight roommates of “Jersey Shore” partying at Karma, getting their GTL on in Seaside Heights or having one of their Sunday dinners. Alas, it’s almost time to bid them farewell as the series finale airs Thursday, December 20, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

But the “Jersey Shore” housemates aren’t ready to say goodbye to the boardwalk just yet. MTV News recently caught up with the cast, and they all revealed that they have every intention of heading back to the beach next summer.

“I went to the Jersey Shore way before the show,” Snooki said. “I was growing up there — 16 years old going there, meeting best friends — so regardless of the show, I’m gonna go there every single summer because that’s what I do in the summer. You go down there, you have fun, you go on jet skis — that’s kind of the thing to do on the east coast.”

See how these “Jersey Shore” fans thank the Seaside crew!

Sammi and Ronnie are also hoping to return to the place where their relationship began, ended and began again. “I’m from Jersey. I’ve been going to the Jersey Shore even before we did the show, so my family is still there. I’ll definitely be at the Jersey Shore, and I’m bringing Ron with me,” Sammi said.

Ronnie added, “I go down every summer. It’s not going to stop. My kids are gonna go, their kids are gonna go.”

From Babies to Business, “Shore” Cast lets us in on their Five-Year Plans!

Despite being busy planning her wedding to fiancé Roger Mathews, JWoww is going to make it a point to make it back to Seaside. This time, however, she’s not looking to go to the parties: She’s looking to lend a hand by continuing to “Restore the Shore” following the devastation of Superstorm Sandy.

“I think this summer we should definitely go back to the Shore and rebuild it,” JWoww said.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino added, “I actually think that was an awesome idea. … It’s unfortunate what happened. We obviously all live in the area, and we were all affected to a certain degree, but that’s unbelievable because I was thinking the same thing. One day at a time, or you never know — we could all eventually go down there and get another house and do it all over again.”

Tune in to MTV on Thursday, December 20, at 10 p.m. ET for the final episode of “Jersey Shore” followed by a live reunion special at 11 p.m. ET. And get your GTL fix all week on MTV with the “Jersey Shore” marathon!

‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Reflects On Six Wild Seasons: Their Best (And Worst … – MTV.com

It’s been a wild ride for the kids of the “Jersey Shore.” There’s been ups, downs and everything in between. And, soon it will all be over.

MTV is reliving some of the show’s wildest moments in a weeklong marathon ahead of the series finale, which will air this Thursday, December 20, at 10 p.m. ET/PT (followed immediately by a live reunion special at 11 p.m. ET/PT). And, ahead of the final episode, MTV News caught up with the cast, who picked their favorite and least-favorite moments in the show’s six-season history.

Favorite
Deena: “My favorite moment is probably my meatball date with Nicole when we went to Jenks. It was right when we got home from Italy, so we really, really appreciated New Jersey.”

Snooki: “My favorite moment is probably drinking during the day with Deena because Deena’s the only one that would drink during the day and that’s the funnest time to drink — during the day, on a nice summer day on the beach. Amazing.”

Sammi: “My favorite would have to be going to Italy.”

JWoww: “My first date with Roger, just ’cause it led to an engagement.”

Vinny: “My favorite moment was when we went to Sicily to visit my family because that was honestly my favorite life moment. And it was on the show, so it was perfect.”

The Situation: “The first day that we moved in because it would be the first day that this rollercoaster started. And it was the first day to something that was unbelievable, that nobody could have predicted.”

Ronnie: “My favorite moment was either probably Italy or the first day in the first house, the Jersey Shore house. When you actually walked in and you met everyone for the first time and you see like her [Sammi] and Pauly. And I’m like, ‘People like that still exist?’ ”

The “Jersey Shore” cast tells us their five-year plans!

Least-Favorite Moments
Deena: “I had some things in Italy … Probably when I forgot to wear my underwear to the club in Italy. That’s probably my least.”

Snooki: “My least-favorite moment would probably be fighting with any roommate, especially Mike. I just don’t like drama and I hate fighting and I hate being in a bad mood. So I would hate all those moments.”

Sammi/Ronnie: “The worst would probably be Miami.”

JWoww: “My least-favorite moment would have to be every time I fight with a roommate. But, then again, there’s always a positive twist to it because we grow from fighting, we grow from the experiences.”

Vinny: “Probably when I wanted to go home just because … you never want a bad part of your life to be when you’re supposed to be doing something fun — that’s not what the show’s about. But it’s true life, so whatever you’re feeling at the time happens.”

The Situation: “This is our last season, and although it’s been pretty awesome, all good things must come to an end. And I’m just happy to be involved and made some new friends.”
